Fun Activities You Can Do With Your Dog in Fort Lauderdale This Summer

With summer vacation around the corner, it’s time to brainstorm all the fun things you can do this summer. With a dog, you may need to get a bit more creative with pet-friendly things to do around the city. Fort Lauderdale has a lot to offer! This city loves its dogs, and there is always something fun going on. Here are some fun activities you can do with your dog in Fort Lauderdale this summer!

Going to the Park with Friends

Parks are a perfect morning or evening summer activity for dogs. Going to the park is an excellent form of exercise and socialization. Fort Lauderdale has a couple of noteworthy parks to bring your pup and their friends to. Holiday Park Dog Park is a regularly maintained park open between 7:30 am and 7 pm. Riverwalk Linear Park, on the other hand, is open all day. So those dogs with bursts of energy can run around whenever it works with your schedule. Snyder Park Bark Park is another park with operational hours during the day, but it is a park with two fenced acres and has agility courses for dogs. These parks offer some fun for all dogs! Check out their websites for more information on the parks and their regulations.

Grabbing a Coffee and Treat

A nice brief summer activity is a stroll to your local coffee shop for an iced coffee and a treat for your dog. If the weather isn’t scorching, then a quick walk to the coffee shop with your pup can be an ideal summer outing. Many patios in Fort Lauderdale let you bring your dog on the patio as long as they are well behaved. Brew Urban Cafe can serve up a nice cup of coffee and a treat for both you and your pup. For some french flair, be sure to visit La Bonne Crepe. This cafe serves up crepes and will surely satisfy you and your pup. For both restaurants, call ahead to see if they have room on the patio! If you’re looking for a quick drive-thru treat, Starbucks has delicious coffee and a small cup of whipped cream for your dog, if you ask!
