Our Story

I’ve always been a pet-lover, but my career path didn’t initially take me down that route. When I launched East Paws in 2006, I was working as a bookkeeper at the School Board of Broward County and teaching group fitness classes. East Paws started as more of a side job that provided another stream of income—but what began as a hobby quickly transformed into my full-time passion and career. The more the business grew, the more I noticed the need for trustworthy pet-sitting, dog-walking and pet-care services for the Fort Lauderdale-area community. This need combined with my passion led me to take on East Paws as my full-time venture!

Since making East Paws my priority, I have pursued continuing education courses and certifications. After joining Pet Sitters International (PSI), I studied and tested to become a Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS). At Animal Behavior College I studied and tested to become an ABC Certified Dog Trainer.
